October is where the fixture list stops being polite. A short international stretch comes first, then four straight Premier League matchweeks with nothing in between. If you are opening a Bet9ja account this month, the promotion code is YOHAIG.

Where the promotion code fits at registration

Bet9ja puts a promotion code box on the registration form, and it gets skipped more often than you would think. Put YOHAIG in the field and the account picks up the welcome offer, which runs to a maximum of ₦100,000 based on what you deposit first. The code cannot be added afterwards, so the field only works on the way in.

The code costs nothing to use. New customers only, and the bonus comes with wagering conditions, which is standard across the market. Read them on the promo page before you fund the account.

Sign up with the YOHAIG promotion code to claim up to ₦100,000 as a welcome bonus.

Nigeria in Russia to finish the break

The Nations League plays two more rounds from the 1st to the 6th, and the clubs sit out until after that. Nigeria travel to the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium to face Russia in a friendly on Tuesday 6 October. The kick-off time was still unannounced when this went up, so confirm it before you stake.

Four Premier League matchweeks with no gap

Club football restarts on Saturday 10 October. The Saturday runs from Arsenal against Leeds United through to Manchester United versus Tottenham Hotspur, then Anfield has Liverpool against Manchester City on Sunday. A week later you get Everton versus Chelsea, Newcastle United against Aston Villa, and Nottingham Forest hosting Arsenal on Sunday evening.

Friday 23 October opens the next round with Ipswich Town against Nottingham Forest, and Chelsea versus Tottenham Hotspur headlines the Saturday. The final Saturday, 31 October, opens with Chelsea against Manchester United and ends with Aston Villa versus Fulham.

There is also the Manchester City case, with the club reportedly found guilty on nearly all of the 115 charges. What the punishment looks like was still unknown at the time of writing. If anything lands mid-season it moves the title and relegation markets hard, so watch the news before you touch a long-range bet.

A timing note worth more than most tips

UK clocks go back on Sunday 25 October, and Nigeria stays put. Until Saturday the 24th, UK and Nigerian kick-off times read identically. From the 25th you add an hour, so a 15:00 English kick-off is 16:00 Nigerian time.
